PDFUAE minimises server transfer, validates actual file signatures and enforces memory, size and rate limits before processing.
File validation
PDF, PNG, JPG and WebP content is checked against its real signature instead of trusting the extension alone.
Local processing
Supported merge, page, compression, OCR, redaction and Bates-numbering tools run in the browser. File names and contents are excluded from analytics.
Secure redaction
Redacted output is flattened to image pages and tested for absence of the original text layer. Users must still inspect every page before sharing sensitive output.
Responsible reporting
Report the tool, browser, error code and approximate time without attaching a real confidential file or secret.
